A short overview, in plain English
This policy describes what personal information Local Mounting Co. ("we," "us," "our") collects when you contact us, request a TV mounting appointment, or browse localmounting.online — and what we do with it. We try to keep the data we hold to the minimum needed to actually run the service: enough to text you a quote, enough to show up at the right address, and not much more.

Information we collect
We collect only what's needed to provide our service. Specifically:
- Contact details: the name, mobile number, and email address you submit through our contact form or share over text/email.
- Job details: the wall type, TV model and size, photos of the install location, and any notes you send us so we can scope and quote the work.
- Service address: shared once we book a slot, used only to send our crew to the right doorstep.
- Payment information: if you pay by card on site, the transaction is processed by our third-party payment provider. We don't store your card number on our systems.
- Website analytics: high-level information about how visitors use our site (pages viewed, approximate region, device type) collected via cookies. See our Cookies Policy for details.
How we use that information
We use it for the things you'd expect us to:
- Replying to your inquiry and sending you a flat-price quote.
- Scheduling and confirming your appointment, and texting an arrival window the day of.
- Following up after the visit (a single thank-you message, sometimes a request for feedback).
- Honoring our workmanship guarantee if you need us to come back.
- Maintaining basic business records as required by tax and accounting laws.
We don't use your information for cold outreach, we don't sell it, and we don't sign you up for marketing lists you didn't ask for.
Who we share information with
We share your personal information only when it's necessary to deliver the service or required by law. That means:
- Our installers receive your name, mobile number, service address, and job details so they can arrive prepared.
- Our payment processor handles card transactions when you pay on site.
- Our scheduling and CRM software stores contact information so we can pull up your file if you book a second visit.
- Legal authorities if we're required by court order, subpoena, or similar legal process.
We never sell, rent, or trade your contact details to third parties for marketing purposes.
How long we keep it
Contact details and job records are retained for as long as you remain a customer plus a reasonable period afterward — typically two to four years — so we can honor warranty claims, respond if you book again, and meet our tax and accounting obligations. Photos of installs are deleted from our crew's devices once the job is complete; any photos kept for portfolio or reference purposes are reviewed annually and removed unless you've given explicit permission.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- See the information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong or out of date.
- Delete your record entirely (subject to legal retention requirements).
- Withdraw consent to receive future communications.
Send a request to hello@localmounting.online and we'll handle it within a reasonable timeframe — typically within 14 days.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information from loss or unauthorized access — including encrypted communications with our scheduling provider, password-protected devices, and limited access to customer records. No system is perfectly secure, but our footprint is small and we treat the data we hold accordingly.
Children
Our services are intended for adults arranging installations in their own homes or businesses. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information through our site, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. Material changes — such as a new category of data we collect, or a new third party we share with — will be flagged at the top of the page for at least 30 days.
